Apollo Bay Hideaway - Free Wi-Fi 5-minute walk to the beach

Cosy beach stay Positive: A very nice two storey townhouse, with a well equipped kitchen. The AC/heat pumps kept the place comfortably warm on some cold windy days. Excellent location in a quiet residential street that is just a couple of blocks from town centre and beach. The lockbox for the key was easy to use. Negative: No bathtowels were supplied in one of the bedrooms/bathroom. I contacted the host by email, but no reply was sent until after we had checked out.

Can we stay here again? Positive: What a lovely stay we had. The property suited our needs perfectly. It was clean. This is important, the bed was SOFT! We always select balcony when we choose a place to say and boy did this place have balconies, ground floor, 2 on the middle and even a rooftop balcony! Amazing. Lovely set up with main dining and master bedroom upstairs, and a kitchen, and bedrooms downstairs. Would be quite easy to abandon your kids to downstairs while enjoying a nice peaceful time upstairs, we left our (adult) kids home to look after our cats. We re-heated dinners in the micro, cooked pizza in the oven, made vegemite on toast and had wonderful coffee from the Pod machine. The location was excellent, not right in the noisey town center but close enough to walk into town, perfect. We did not hear boo from any of the neighbours. Plenty of parking room for our big car. Would gladly stay there again. Highly recommend the Apollo Bay Hideaway. 5 STARS! Negative: This is a small thing barely worth a mention, we couldn't get the DVD player upstairs to work. We are pretty tech saavy, but the DVD player just mocked us by turning on and playing the menu but no amount of pushing every single button on the remote got it work, meanwhile the X-files theme music is imprinted in our brains forever. All good though, we mirrored a laptop and watched Seinfeld re-runs. No need to pack a DVD.
